Eastland Cottage
An early 1900’s stone house in downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
We purchased Eastland Cottage in the summer of 2023 as an attempt to expand our Airbnb rentals. We had big dreams of a cozy cottage with a spacious outdoor living space just 4 miles from the heart of downtown!
Lessons learned the not-so-fun way
Unfortunately, after 1.5 years of renovating, the home did not meet the requirements for a short term rental home in Nashville, Tennessee and was not approved for a STR permit.
Spontaneous and over-ambitious, as usual.
When we first got married, Nashville was our home. Some major sudden and unexpected life changes brought us back to Kentucky, but we’ve always wanted a second home in Nashville.
Maybe next time?
We sold the house in January of 2025. I’m taking a break from new residential property to focus on The Magee, but I will be back one day with more hospitable homes. :)
